Antique Phoenician Ring | Red Mosaic Center-Stone (c. 300 A.D.)

This delicately designed ancient Phoenician ring bears an oval mosaic glass center-stone and finely carved gold-gilt metal band. The artisan began with a red base, then ornamented with a black & white center and finished with three beautiful yellow dots. The ring's integrity remains solid and can be worn as a necklace pendant or a hand as a statement piece!

Phoenician glass was renowned in ancient times for its unique luster and beauty. The coastal dunes of southern Venice provided high-quality sand for the production of glass, as the technique of glass blowing likely originated in the first century B.C. in this region.
