This is a spectacular ancient Persian Luristan bronze goat statue (circa 6th century BC) in outstanding condition for its age. The bronze has formed an excellent blue-green patina over time, adding to the beauty and intrigue of the piece.
This artifact has been attested as authentic ancient Near Eastern in origins by Mr. Matthew Wicks of Ancient Hands, LTD, and attributes it to the 6th century B.C. The Near Eastern region describes the land areas of Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. A PDF copy of the statue's "Provenance & Ownership" documentation is attached.
