RARE 1950s Hand-Made King Ramses Egyptian Metalwork Wall Art

This HUGE 15.5" diameter Ancient Egyptian Themed hanging wall art with copper & brass plating, intricate cutouts, and a finely curled surface, is truly spectacular. This is an original hand-made art piece by Hosny Gomaa.

The subject is the Pharaoh King Ramses, bow drawn and ready to fire while riding a horse drawn chariot. A series of hieroglyphics appear as the sun above, the ground beneath features a large winged bird. Punched out sections accentuate the eagles and papyrus that encircle the Pharaoh; this, along with the copper & brass plating lend a three dimensional feel to the entire art piece.

There is a minor scratch in the center as seen in the photos, but this is commensurate with its 70+ years and only adds to the antiquated feel of the wall plate.

This art piece is best displayed wall mounted and is an excellent piece of replica artwork worthy of adding to any Ancient Egyptian collection!
